django 2 to django 3, django 3 will be supported until 2024
-
Hypha OSS Releases
- From January to March 2022, Maintainers have been updating Hypha to Django 3.22 and the latest version of Wagtail. This long-term support is an effort to maintain deprecating software packages. This development effort is primarily for maintenance and involves rewriting parts of Hypha’s code to use replacement packages. These recent updates are critical measures to ward off potential glitches in the future.
-
What affects does this have on older/different clones/forks of Hypha?
- Adopters should keep regularly updating, keep doing what you’re doing. These Adopters may need to update Python due to new Django
-
Check in with Allan & Thomas re. Django updates post April 2022 to see how they are
-
New code base with downloaded data structure/database could be a way to support
-
@frjo could look at a SOW investigation to see how far back DFF (and DDP?) are and how much it might cost to catch them up.
