I’m now in the active planning stages for the Hypha Summit 2022.

There’s no dates and timings set yet but this is some of the detail that I want from you.

Please comment on this post with what you want to see happen at the Hypha summit, what your goals and expectations are and how long you want it to be. Along with any other comments or suggestions you have.

Suggested Topics

  • What to expect when you’re expecting to adopt Hypha:
    Lessons learned from recent adopters and implementers (could split into two - one for developers and the other for users/staff)

  • New dev in the pipeline:
    Invoicing/Contracting (short demo)
    Reporting (short demo)
    other???
    (could split into two groups and swap; more time for questions)

Lightening Talks/Fishbowl conversations/Open Source Mic Nite

  • Mentorship and knowledge share - onboarding a new developer

  • Feature vs. Bugs - how to balance between building more features and finding small interventions to improve usability. For example, users often find hacks or use scaffolding when the existing platform does not meet their needs

  • Security - the safety and security of applicants and other relevant stakeholders

  • Localization - Translations of Hypha can be of two kinds. Translations in to another language or translations in to you organisations vocabulary, or a combination of both. This talk will be on best practices and challenges
