What’s on the horizon?
Description: Learn more about new Hypha development
OTF demo current project page, does not have all functionalities we plan to build over the next few months. We will make major improvements to the user interface (ie better hierchy of buttons, increase usability of functionalities). There are configuable components like
Projects Page Summary:
- A customizable form similar to application forms. This form could be created in Wagtail
- A configuable upload section for supporting documents. Users could indicate the names or type of forms they would like the applicant/vendor/grantee to upload.
- Organizations could select a ‘lead’ (one program officer to steer the project through the compliance process)
- Add different user roles to the interface for reviewing and approving documents, this is similar to adding external reviewers to submissions.
- Grantees could submit reports. Funding organizations determine the interval or timeframe (ie monthly, yearly, or none)
- Grantees could submit invoices, and invoices could be reviewed by staff
- Communication/notifications will also be incorporated into the platform
Adopter Field Notes
Description: We would love to hear any updates from current and potential adopters
DFF - 5th round using Hypha and has updated to the most recent version
- Would be helpful to get updates when there has been major changes/updates to Hypha
- Would like to use the existing version of the Projects Page (contracting and invoicing)
- Translation files work with different parts of the platform’s user interface. However, attempted to use translation files to update automated email messages but it doesn’t work.
- Email messages are not configurable. However, there are basic instructions for translating files Localization and Translation - Hypha Documentation
—> OTF could provide more guidance/documentation on how to do this
ARDC - Hypha has been working well and good transition from their previous grant platform
- Would also like to use the existing version of the Projects Page (contracting and invoicing)
- When drafting a review, the review doesn’t automatically save. An autosave feature for reviewers is standard in most platforms.
OTF will continue to build out the project page this quarter.
Community Enagement
Description: Events, documentation, communication updates
The Public Roadmap https://github.com/orgs/HyphaApp/projects/2 captures all issues submitted by the Hypha community. Questions, discussion topics, bug reports. Maintainers are capturing these issues in a central location to be more transparent as to how we address issues raised by the community.
Currently planning the Hypha Convening – an opportunity for adopters and implementers to meet virtually face-to-face.
